Depending on the destination and order, additional documents may include a Certificate of Origin, test reports, material or certification documents, retailer-specific paperwork, or other import-clearance records.
Before shipment, the commercial invoice and packing list should match the actual quantities, product descriptions, carton count, gross and net weights, declared values, consignee information, and agreed shipping terms.
The transport document and shipping instructions should also be reviewed with the buyer, freight forwarder, or customs broker where applicable. Destination-specific customs and import requirements should be confirmed before dispatch, as document requirements can vary by market, product, shipping method, and Incoterm.
