A pre-production sample is the final production-intent sample reviewed before bulk manufacturing. It confirms fabric and color, measurements, stitching, logo placement, labels, trims, finishing, and packaging. For activewear, also verify stretch, recovery, support, waistband stability, and squat-proof opacity. Approval should be recorded in the Tech Pack or sample comments. Skipping PPS approval risks misunderstandings, rework, delays, and discrepancies between sample and bulk.

Coordinated collections share colors, logo placement, seam details, trims, and packaging across leggings, bras, shorts, tops, and jackets. Each style must be developed and tested separately due to different performance demands. When fabrics share a color, approve lab dips side by side since nylon, polyester, mesh, and woven fabrics absorb dye differently. Standard MOQ is 100 pieces per style per color. For first launch, develop two to four core styles rather than a large collection.

The process moves through six stages: product brief and quotation, sample development (7-15 days), pre-production approval of PPS and all specifications, bulk production (25-30 days) covering material inspection through final packing, quality inspection per agreed AQL and requirements, and shipping with customs documentation. Each stage requires written approval before the next begins.

Provide product type, technical drawings, quantity per style and color, size breakdown, fabric preferences, colorways, logo method, labels, packaging, target market, delivery destination, and delivery date. For customized products: Tech Pack, fabric composition and GSM, logo artwork, testing requirements, shipping terms (EXW/FOB/DAP/DDP), and target price.
