SHIPPING DECISION
Air freight and sea freight describe how goods are transported. DDP, or Delivered Duty Paid, is an Incoterm that defines the agreed responsibilities for carriage, import clearance, duties, taxes, and delivery to the named destination.
May be suitable for urgent orders, launches, or faster restocking.
Is often more cost-efficient for larger-volume orders when the delivery schedule allows more transit time.
May be used with air, sea, courier, or multimodal transport when the seller can legally and practically arrange the agreed import and delivery responsibilities.
A buyer normally chooses a transport method and then agrees the applicable Incoterm. For example, an activewear order can move by air freight under DDP if the agreed destination and import arrangements support that term.
Before confirming DDP, the parties should verify the destination-country requirements, the named delivery place, customs-clearance responsibilities, tax and duty treatment, and whether the seller or its appointed logistics provider can complete the required import formalities.
At Call The STYLE, available shipping routes and terms can be reviewed according to the order and destination before shipment is confirmed.
