How Should Logo Placement Be Checked Across Activewear Sizes?

Update Time:2026/9/12
LOGO PLACEMENT

Define logo placement from stable garment landmarks, then check it across graded sizes rather than relying on one simple edge measurement.

This approach helps preserve visual balance as the activewear pattern increases or decreases in size.

Use stable reference points

  • Center front or center back
  • Side seams and panel seams
  • Waistband seams and hemlines
  • Pocket openings or other clearly defined construction points

Record the rule in the Tech Pack

  • Logo size and artwork orientation
  • Placement measurements from defined landmarks
  • Applicable style, color, and size range
  • Any logo-position or dimension changes by size

Review on representative sizes

  • Check visual balance across the approved size range
  • Confirm that the logo does not move into a seam, curve, or high-stretch area
  • Use size-set samples when fit, panels, or grading are complex

Placement logic should match the garment area

A back-waistband logo can be centered from the garment’s center-back line. A thigh logo may need measurements from both the side seam and waistband seam. Using two or more landmarks can make the intended position clearer as the pattern is graded.

When a size-set check is especially useful

High-stretch or compression fabrics

Stretch can change the visible position and proportion of a logo when worn.

Curved or complex construction

Curved waistbands, contrast panels, and seam intersections can alter visual alignment across sizes.

Extended size ranges

Size-specific placement rules may be needed when grading creates a meaningful proportion change.

At Call The STYLE, branding placement can be checked together with grading rules, garment measurements, and approved artwork before bulk production. Any size-specific placement rules should be recorded in the latest Tech Pack.
